Dog Training Services Agreement

Comet ’n’ Cloud Dog Training, LLC

This Agreement is between Comet ’n’ Cloud Dog Training, LLC (“Trainer”) and the undersigned client (“Client”).

By signing this Agreement or agreeing electronically, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms below.

1. Services Provided

Trainer provides private dog training services focused on foundational skills, manners, and confidence-building using positive, science-informed training methods. Services may take place in the Client’s home, outdoors, or at another mutually agreed-upon location.

Training services begin only after this Agreement is completed and payment is received.

2. Scheduling & payment

• Payment is required before the first training session.

• Sessions are scheduled by mutual agreement.

• Training sessions are time-based; late arrival by the Client does not extend session length.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling

Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments or no-shows, will be charged the full session fee.

Life happens — if something unexpected comes up, please reach out as soon as possible.

4. Weather, Air Quality & Environmental Conditions

raining sessions may be modified, relocated, or rescheduled due to conditions that may affect safety or welfare, including but not limited to:

• Extreme heat or cold

• Poor air quality (such as wildfire smoke)

• Severe weather (rain, ice, wind, storms)

• Unsafe outdoor or travel conditions

When possible, Trainer will offer alternatives such as adjusting activities, moving indoors, or rescheduling. Weather- or air-quality-related changes do not incur cancellation fees.

5. Client Responsibilities

The Client agrees to:

• Be present and participate during training sessions.

• Maintain responsibility and control of their dog at all times.

• Disclose any known bite history, aggression, or health concerns prior to sessions.

• Provide a reasonably safe training environment.

• Follow training recommendations between sessions to support progress.

6. Training Philosophy & Expectations

The Client understands that:

• Training outcomes depend on consistency, environment, and individual dog factors.

• There are no guarantees regarding specific results or timelines.

• Training is a process that continues beyond scheduled sessions.

• Trainer uses humane, positive training methods and does not use punishment-based techniques.

7. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver

The Client acknowledges that working with dogs involves inherent risks, including but not limited to bites, scratches, falls, or property damage.

The Client agrees to assume full responsibility for their dog’s behavior and releases and holds harmless Comet ’n’ Cloud Dog Training, LLC, its owner, and representatives from any claims, damages, or injuries arising from participation in training services, except in cases of gross negligence.

8. Professional Disclaimer

The Client acknowledges that:

• Trainer is not a veterinarian or a certified animal behaviorist.

• Training services do not replace veterinary, medical, or behavioral diagnosis or treatment.

• The Client is responsible for seeking appropriate professional care when needed.

9. Photo & Video Permission

(Photos or videos will never be used in a way that identifies the Client without permission.)

10. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon.

By signing below or agreeing electronically, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Agreement
